Sixty seconds that teach us so much…
A cherubic young girl strolls through the field and has a breath-taking vision of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This child is Mata Sahib Kaur Ji seeing the tenth master embodied in all things, for He is everything and everything is Him. The opening of the highly anticipated second teaser beautifully sets the tone for Mata Ji’s life of devotion to the King of Kings.
Next, we are treated to Mata Ji’s bold and fearless side. They come to the aid of a girl no older than them, exemplifying the courage to put others’ safety above their own. This acts as a reminder for us to be daring and audacious, especially when it comes to defending and upholding justice. Fast-forward to Mata Ji as an adult, reverently bowing to a kirpan bestowed on them by Guru Ji. Their notable qualities as an armed warrior set them apart in eighteenth century India; a time when atrocities against women were the norm.
The end of the teaser leaves us with a powerful image of Mata Sahib Kaur Ji on their rearing horse. Spear in hand, they take aim, ready to obliterate the enemy. It’s an unforgettable final image and one that cannot fail to leave a lasting impression.
So what wisdom can we gain from the teaser alone? That selfless devotion, unfaltering courage and a heart filled with love for humanity lived within our spiritual mother. And as her children, these qualities can be found in us too.
Congratulations to iRealities and the whole team behind the film. This teaser has heightened our already high expectations and beautifully showcases a portrayal of Mata Sahib Kaur Ji that is uncompromising yet spellbinding.
