Let’s welcome the IMPPA to the family!
We’re so excited to announce that the producers of ‘Motherhood: The Journey of Mata Sahib Kaur’ have partnered up with the IMPPA – an organisation that is a valuable addition to the Motherhood movement. So who are they? They are the Indian Motion Pictures’ Producers Association. It’s a title that may not roll off the tongue but we’re certainly happy that the ream is rolling with them!
The IMPPA operates as an association of film and television producers in India; it promotes and protects the intellectual property rights of its members. It is one of the oldest associations in the Indian film production sector. As one example, the title ‘Motherhood: The Journey of Mata Sahib Kaur’ will be registered with the IMPPA, thus affording it officiality and legitimacy. This is just one of the benefits of teaming up with this organisation.
It is an important move for the team as it means that the film’s commercial interests will be promoted and represented. We can all agree that a film of this magnitude, that will be made in 6 languages, needs to be endorsed and handled with the respect it deserves. This is one more step in the film’s journey to global realisation!
