Sewadars behind the production of the new 3D animation Motherhood – the Journey of Mata Sahib Kaur are really excited to announce that Indian playback singer Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam will be lending her critically acclaimed vocals to the movie and singing a devotional song.

Kavita’s singing career expands over five decades in which she has won many distinctive awards and accolades along the way. She is perhaps better known for her role as a playback singer for many famous Indian movies including Mr India. Kavita has sang and recorded over 18,000 songs in 16 different languages including Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. She has also appeared as a guest judge on many Indian talent shows as well set up her own musical institution where she inspires her students to learn and appreciate both eastern and western styles of music. Her extensive career, experiences and vocal talents have earned her the respect and appreciation from many famous Indian directors and producers due to Kavita’s very diverse singing abilities ranging from devotional songs and ghazals to pop and even jazz music!

She has also sang with large symphony orchestras as a soloist in many prestigious locations across the world; including the Royal Albert Hall in London, Madison Square Garden in New York as well as The Esplanade in Singapore!

Kavita has expressed her excitement at working on the Motherhood soundtrack and is thankful to Nihal Nihal Nihal Productions for this unique opportunity to showcase her vocals to further audiences around the world.
